We’ve mapped out 2014 and it’s going to be an exciting year for us at Genuitec. With that, we just finished up the paperwork and are now Silver Sponsors for EclipseCon North America 2014 in San Francisco. Woohoo!
(Are you seeing a trend? The most important organizations in the world rely on our technologies to power their businesses as compared to IBM and Oracle offerings – click the button below to schedule a demo on software delivery, mobile, cloud, or integrated developer environments)
On the floor at EclipseCon Europe 2013 in Ludwigsburg, Germany, for the second year in a row and so far we’ve met a number of folks interested in our Eclipse software delivery solution- Secure Delivery Center. Whether interested in private or public clouds to manage and deliver software to millions of users, we’re finding the largest enterprises in the world *need help* in this department as a considerable cost saving measure. Download Eclipse, set up the Eclipse Java or MyEclipse IDE, and ship off your wares internally for development or to customers as a finished (it’s never finished) product.
So if you’re onsite come visit us to learn about what we’ve been doing for the past decade – also you can win cool drone with APIs that can be legally hacked with a bit of Java know-how (we’ll let you search the web to learn what hacks folks are doing with it).
Here’s where you can find us at EclipseCon Europe 2013 – we like to share knowledge too.
If you’ve seen and heard enough from us and are ready to see why our solution is favored over IBM and others software delivery solutions – set up a demo today (There’s a button on the bottom of this page, just look down).
We are pleased to be attending this year’s EclipseCon Europe held in lovely Ludwigsburg, Germany later this month. The Eclipse Foundation has pulled out all the stops once again, and we’re ready to pack our bags and join in the festivities.
This year, Genuitec will be rocking two talks at ECE and we’re excited to showcase some of our coolest Eclipse Java technologies, as well as share the stage once again with our friends at CERN.
Here’s where you can find us at ECE 2013:
If you have a conflicting session and won’t be able to attend, you’ll still have a chance to catch ours. Our sessions will be recorded and available to watch after the conference has concluded. You can sign up here to be notified when the recorded sessions are available on our site and to learn about other exciting EclipseCon news from Genuitec.
For Genuitec, the ECE is a huge part of our success as a company, thanks to the opportunity it gives us to not only learn about the direction of the latest Eclipse technologies, but also to educate fellow members on what Genuitec’s Eclipse Java products bring to the table. We applaud the Eclipse Foundation for the channels of communication they open through ECE by bringing together a community that truly understands the usage of Eclipse and thus ensuring that its usage is done efficiently and intelligently. Where so many other conferences fail to keep the focus squarely on the community’s needs, we can always rely on ECE to give us amazing insight into the true nature of the Eclipse community. And of course do all of this in such an awesome blend of business and fun! We’re excited to be apart of EclipseCon Europe once again. It’s a true honor to get to rub elbows with the largest Eclipse community in the world.
You don’t have to take our word for it, there are many others who find ECE just as amazing as we do. Check out these testimonials from fellow ECE attendees/sponsors:
“For me, attending EclipseCon Europe has been a habit for many years. The quality of the presentations allow me to strengthen my expertise and provide my clients with training content that features the latest advancements.
Of course, the networking side is also very important. With hundreds of attendees involved in Eclipse, EclipseCon Europe is the place to create relationships based on trust and understanding that help us all work together.”
“For me, EclipseCon is the best opportunity to get in touch with creators and users of innovative software technologies. If you want to meet the Eclipse key developers, the people behind Eclipse, who drive the community and the most established Java IDE in the world, then you have to be there. EclipseCon just floods your mind with new ideas you want to develop for the next time.”
“EclipseCon is awesome. For me, it is the premier event to get in contact with all the people working on the various Eclipse projects and all the people using those projects. It’s so much easier to talk about problems and issues, chat about future directions, and exchange ideas about new things at those events than on mailing lists or online forums. Meet the people behind the projects and their users in real person is priceless. Looking forward to seeing you there, too!”
If you catch us on the exhibit floor, don’t be a stranger! We look forward to meeting, chatting, and learning to juggle with as many of you as we can.
See you there!
Jed, Nicholas & Tim
Your Genuitec ECE Conference Team
Thousands of developers around the world choose MyEclipse as their preferred Eclipse IDE over well-known development tools like IBM Rational and Eclipse Java.
Why? It’s simple. MyEclipse offers developers a rich set of features that go above and beyond the Eclipse Java EE to facilitate rapid design and development in an affordable package. In addition, all versions of MyEclipse support over 50 application servers, including the latest WebSphere, WebLogic, and JBoss servers.
Yes, Eclipse is free (like beer) and MyEclipse is not. We know. We’re founding members of the Eclipse Foundation and created MyEclipse to be a better Eclipse for the enterprise.
MyEclipse instantly adds value to the work you do since you’re definitely spending more than $32 worth of time to manually achieve what’s already built into MyEclipse. In fact, by switching over to our MyEclipse Professional version, you can save over $95 per user and still have a ton of great features you won’t find in base Eclipse.
Our customers find our features unmatched and enjoy the easy on-ramping brought on with MyEclipse. With one-click Maven integration, cross-platform HTML5 Mobile Tools and extensive built-in plug-in libraries (to name only a few of our features), the MyEclipse platform offers Eclipse Java Developers tools to take their development to the next level.
To learn more about the value-add features of MyEclipse, check out this video on the many benefits of developing with the MyEclipse IDE.

The President of our company, Maher Masri, shared the above poem with us during our August company meeting. For weeks I’ve stared at this poem thinking about what it means to me on a personal level, what it means for me in my work, and how it might inspire others.
Before I moved over to the marketing dept. in March, I spent the previous three years working on the Genuitec sales team, with a vast majority of my time dedicated to sales for MobiOne. In that time, I can barely wrap my head around the number of times that I spoke with with entrepreneurs consumed with big ideas about apps or databases they wanted to create – maybe thousands?
I think that is why this poem struck such a chord with me. Entrepreneurs are by nature a more driven bunch, but that does not mean that they are without doubt. The key difference between entrepreneurs and everyone else is that they press on. To me, that’s what this poem is about- pressing on despite self, despite obstacles, despite fear, and finally coming to the realization that success is of our own making. Believing in something is not half as effective in the business world as believing in yourself.
So, if you have a great idea about an app, whether it’s for gaming, business, or pleasure – Go for it! What have you got to lose?
If it doesn’t perform the way you want it to, re-access and redo – focus on continuous delivery and upgrades. And if it still isn’t all you hoped for, AT LEAST YOU TRIED!
If you’re not a developer by trade, then rest assured in knowing that we have technologies like MobiOne with drag & drop functionality; by design it’s meant to take the guess work out of mobile app creation.
The point is, you have to be willing to try in order to succeed. If you’re willing to try, you’re already half way there to winning! And who knows, what you develop may be the next big thing. It may be something that you discover, “Well Heck! I’m really good at this! I could turn this into an empire!” Just go for it.
Ready to make it happen?

About the Blogger:
Iris is the Social Media & Public Relations Coordinator for Genuitec, where she has been in employ since 2010. She is a wife and mother, an avid reader, a movie junkie and enjoys organizing to excess.
Each month I have the pleasure of introducing you to one of our staff members here at Genuitec and share a little bit about what they do to make our software awesome. This month, I’d like you to meet Piotr, our Extreme MyEclipse Product Architect.
This has been an incredibly busy year for Piotr and the rest of the MyEclipse development team, as they were tasked with the major overhaul of MyEclipse. The MyEclipse team has gone over and above to bring you a whole new IDE with incredible Mobile Tools, expanded feature sets and loads of one-click migration and integration abilities in the all new MyEclipse 2013. If you’ve not yet tried MyEclipse 2013, then you are missing out and should feel encouraged to click the button below and play with the new build for the next 30 days, for free!
Piotr has been working on the MyEclipse 2013 redesign for the last year and half, with the hopes of bringing customers better stability, usability and extensibility. He has been knee-deep in re-writing some of the core coding for the MyEclipse workbench that has been around for the last 10+ years! Certainly no easy task!
Piotr is one of our most knowledgeable developers, and quite frankly knows all the nooks and crannies of MyEclipse. Not only does he deal with the core development of MyEclipse, he also devotes time each week to answer your toughest support questions. If you’re stuck in a development pickle, and need some assistance, head on over to our online support forums, post your question and let Piotr (and the full development team) get you sorted.
When Piotr is not coding the latest technological advancements for MyEclipse, you can find him climbing the alps, backpacking through Europe, exploring Africa, and pretty much anywhere else that the call of adventure beckons from! Hence the “Extreme” in Extreme Architect. While he’s recovering from his numerous adventures, you can find him relaxing at home with his wife and family, and enjoying his favorite RPG, “The Witcher” game.
In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back, Yoda tell Luke that he must “Do, or do not. There is no try.” Piotr lives his life by this quote, seeking out adventure where ever it may arise, be it a coding adventure or outdoor trek. He takes direction and inspiration from everywhere around him, and I must say that the MyEclipse team is better for it.
