The Pew Internet & American Life Project report found that cheaper prices for the Kindle Fire and Nook tablets during the holiday season brought many new users into market, while overall tablet growth (iPad, ect...) doubled from 10 percent to 19 percent ownership. Older consumers in the 50-64 year-old age range saw an increase of 9 percent in tablet ownership.
MobiOne has found appeal with app designers by bridging the gap for iOS development on Windows operating systems, so any user can now design and build App Store-ready iOS apps without needing a Mac. This means there is no longer an additional, expensive requirement to buy a Mac machine or learn Objective-C (Apple's language) to design and build world-class apps that operate natively on iOS devices. Apple shipped a reported 13-14 million iPads during the holiday season, so the market is ready for higher-quality, higher productivity applications.
