    postma,

Can you please clarify if you already have Gradle plugin installed? Do you see the update from menu Help > Check for Updates?

MyEclipse 2017 is based on Eclipse 4.6 and MyEclipse 2016 is based on Eclipse 4.5.
You can check this link for the update site details for Gradle plugin based on the base Eclipse version : https://github.com/eclipse/buildship/blob/master/docs/user/Installation.md

Go to Help > Install from Site and use the update site url to install or update the existing Gradle install.
Gradle integration in MyEclipse is same as in Eclipse. I suggest you also check with Gradle/Eclipse forums for further help as Gradle is third party plugin to MyEclipse.

If you are still seeing problems, then please let us know the version of MyEclipse you are working with (Help > About MyEclipse section) and the exact problem with the Gradle install to help us assist you further. If possible, attach screenshots to help us get a visual.

Gradle shows as a feature for MyEclipse and not a plugin. It is at version 1.0.21.

Checking for updates does not show Gradle buildship requiring updates.

    MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench
    Version: 2017 CI 7
    Build id: 15.0.1-20170704

When I attempted to install the Gradle 2.1.2 version plugin from http://download.eclipse.org/buildship/updates/e46/releases/2.x

Your original request has been modified.
“Buildship: Eclipse Plug-ins for Gradle” is already installed, so an update will be performed instead.
Cannot complete the install because of a conflicting dependency.
Software being installed: Buildship: Eclipse Plug-ins for Gradle 2.1.2.v20170807-1321 (org.eclipse.buildship.feature.group 2.1.2.v20170807-1321)
    Software currently installed: MyEclipse 2017 CI 15.0.1.c0000011t201707060628 (package.8219-Cse-3417.windows.x86_64 15.0.1.c0000011t201707060628)
Only one of the following can be installed at once:
    Buildship: Eclipse Plug-ins for Gradle 1.0.21.v20161010-1640 (org.eclipse.buildship.feature.jar 1.0.21.v20161010-1640)
    Buildship: Eclipse Plug-ins for Gradle 2.1.2.v20170807-1321 (org.eclipse.buildship.feature.jar 2.1.2.v20170807-1321)
    Cannot satisfy dependency:
    From: Buildship: Eclipse Plug-ins for Gradle 2.1.2.v20170807-1321 (org.eclipse.buildship.feature.group 2.1.2.v20170807-1321)
    To: org.eclipse.buildship.feature.jar [2.1.2.v20170807-1321]
    Cannot satisfy dependency:
    From: MyEclipse 2017 CI 15.0.1.c0000011t201707060628 (package.8219-Cse-3417.windows.x86_64 15.0.1.c0000011t201707060628)
    To: org.eclipse.buildship.feature.jar [1.0.21.v20161010-1640]

I have the same issues with my Windows 7 laptop and my Windows 10 installation.

    postma,

I’m sorry, it is not possible to update the Gradle tooling version in MyEclipse as it is tied to the MyEclipse core, and attempting to install a new version will cause the conflicts you have already seen. We will be releasing 2017 CI 8 in the next few weeks and I’ll ensure it includes an updated version of Gradle from the Buildship project.

Thank you for asking, and apologies for the inconvenience caused.

    postma,

Our latest release, 2017 CI 8 is out and it integrates Gradle 2.1.2. Please update to CI 8 from Help > Check for Updates and let us know if you see any issues with Gradle.
