    Hi,
I’m using the grunt task runner to execute a “grunt serve” command.

It work ok, I can see the output of the command inside the terminal+
but than in the progress view, I see launching grunt serve 28% and it remains there.

grunt serve launches thes express server so it does not finish until I kill the server,
but is it correct to continue to see the “laucnhing grunt serve” in the progress view?

    Davide,

I tried to replicate the problem at my end and I do not see grunt related entries in the Progress view.
Please see the attached screenshot of the Terminal+ and Progress view at my end.

For further investigation, please share with us the screenshots of the Terminal+ view and the Progress view to help us get a visual.

    Thanks for the answer.
    Here the screenshot.

As you can see, the progress bar remains active even if nothing is going on.
If I press CTRL+C on terminal+, progress bar is cleared.

    Davide,

    Thank you for the screenshot.

Can you please also share with us details about how you are running the grunt serve? Have you installed any extensions for it?

    Sure,
    right click on the project,
    run as…
    run configuration

    than you find a screenshot.

No, I haven’t installed anything, as far as I know eclipse/webclipse as native support…

    Davide,

Thank you for the screenshot and the steps. I could replicate the problem at my end.
Running ‘grunt serve’ from the Terminal+ view does not exhibit the issue.

I also see the same problem on standard Eclipse JavaEE install without Webclipse related plugins, so this does not look like specific to our tooling.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.
