    Hi there

Is Java 9 support already planned?

AFAIK it needs Eclipse Oxygen, while the CI 8 is still based on Neon (4.6.1 i think).

    Bye

    Holger,

You’re right, Java 9 support requires Eclipse Oxygen. In fact, it’s still not a part of the current Oxygen stable release, and will probably be included by default with Oxygen 1a, due in October.

2017 will continue to be Neon based, while MyEclipse 2018 is going to be based on Oxygen, so that’s the version to look out for, for Java 9 support. As far as timing is concerned, I cannot commit to a date right now, but it could be a couple of months out. Will update this post when more details are available.

    Thank you for asking.

    Holger,

I realize it has been nearly a year since you asked for Java 9 support – MyEclipse CI 2018 was released today, based on Eclipse Photon, and it includes both Java 9 and Java 10 support.

For additional details on what’s in this release, please see our delivery log: https://www.genuitec.com/products/myeclipse/deliverylog/ci/

You can get 2018 over at our download page here: https://www.genuitec.com/products/myeclipse/download/

Apologies for the long wait, do let us know how you get on with the 2018 release. Have a good weekend!
