While testing the QA builds of MyEclipse 3.8.3 we discovered that several of our new features were rendered inoperable by Eclipse Bug #67384 (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=67384), which is an inability for SWT programs (like Eclipse/MyEclipse) to use any AWT functionality on MacOS X.

Several of the new visual development features in MyEclipse 3.8.3 require the use of a sophisticated graphical layout engine. Unfortunately, due to this Eclipse SWT bug, we will have to adapt the functionality for the Mac to use the much more basic layout library that is natively available in GEF. Due to the additional work to perform the platform checks and reimplement the functionality exclusively for the Macintosh, we anticipate approximately a one week delay of the Macintosh version of 3.8.3.

Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience while work work around the problem.
