myEclipse told me there were updates so I allowed for an update. It updated and then asked for a restart. I restarted and got the following:

What do I need to do to get around this problem? I would not want to manually upgrade my myEclipse…

Thanks for the quick response :-). Anyway, I fixed the problem. Crazy I had to go into the config.ini and manually point the the more recent versions of org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator_1.3.300.v20190716-0825.jar and org.eclipse.osgi_3.15.0.v20190830-1434.jar.

I am assuming that I will not run into problems with older versions of everything sitting in my plugins directory right?

🙂 You caught us after-hours, glad you were able to make that sort of fix yourself. It’s odd that the correct versions of those bundles were not automatically referenced after the update, putting that down to a glitch.

Older plugins sitting around should not be a problem.

Just for the record, sure shot way of correcting all sorts of update glitches (without having to analyze the problem) would be to use the latest offline installer and select the repair option.

Do let us know if you run into further issues.
