Slack for Eclipse Privacy Policy

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for Genuitec’s Eclipse Code Sharing Application for Slack. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected through the Eclipse Code Sharing Application, also known as Slack for Eclipse.

Information Collection, Use, and Sharing

In using the Eclipse Code Sharing Application, Genuitec will retrieve from Slack an authentication token that is used and stored within your Integrated Development Environment (IDE).  We store usage & general log information on our servers for tracking usage of the service.  Data collected on our server does not contain any personal identifying information.  The Eclipse Code Sharing Application will continue collecting usage information as well as transient usage of tokens during authentication flows, or command invocation while sharing & accessing code.

We are the sole users of all information collected through the Eclipse Code Sharing Application. We collect usage information to monitor and analyze trends, usage and activities in connection with our services with the purpose of providing, maintaining and improving our services.  We will not sell or rent this information to anyone. We will not share your usage information with any third party outside of our organization.

Security

We take precautions to protect any information collected when using the Eclipse Code Sharing Application.  No personal or sensitive information will be stored in any of our servers through the use of this service online or offline.
