I am hoping that the Linux installation will work on Fedora Core 6?
Anyway, I have downloaded a big *.bin file and am now not sure what to
do with it, being a Linux newbie – this is not executable, how does one
go about installing it?I have looked through the install instructions but can’t find anything, can
anyone give me a pointer?Cheers

hi,
you should make it executable (either with chmod or, if you use fc6 via nautilus. There by rightclick on the file you’ll find sth. like properties and access rights ).
Afterwards you should be able to start either in a console with:
sh yourfile.bin
or by doubleclick.
Console is the better choice, cause you’ll see error messages there.regards Jürgen
