Hey…

For the last to weeks I was playing around with the Mobione Trail version althoug I didn’t have a Device to finally test the design on at the begining.
Well in the Design Center it looked always quite cool but when I then got a 7″ Tablet and I tried the desgin on it I was a little bit disapointed.

What’s the problem…Mike? I’m glad you asked…! Well, I’m trying to create an “Tourist Guide” application, so a great part of the project
will have to do with google maps. Now I tried almost all the stuff from the maps developer guide and after a lot of trail and ERROR I was able to finally set markers on
certain locations.But I couldn’t draw a line between the markers like discribed and I wasn’t able to figure out how to make the “geolocation thing” work.
So most of the time I ended up in downtown Dallas. I’ve read somwhere in the Forum that that would change on a real Device…but it didn’t.

Now there was another issue with the desgin itself. I’ve build a simple app with a set of pages to test the transitions and how it will look like on
my 7″ tablet. In the testcenter everything looked fine and worked (transitions) and it also did in Chrome. However on the tablet..at first glance…it looked almost
the same but the proportions were different ( the size of the list items were a lot smaller than in the test center and the transition effects didn’t work at all…
( the pages just somehow fade in,….no slides are performed))…? ( again…photosand files attached).

Another thing I couldn’t figure out was how to desgin my apps to perform equally well in landscape and portrait orientation and on the diferent phone and tablet
display sizes. I studied the stuff you guy’s provide in the learnig section of your site but it’s really hard to figure it out.

I still belive you’re doing a pretty good job with mobione and it’s a great idea! I’m sure I did things wrong and that you will help me out.

My trail version expired yesterday but I don’t mind sending you my money and give it another try (…since you also offer a refund option)

I’m looking forward for your solution.

P.S. The tablet im using is a SmartTab 7″ from vodafone (spain) with an Android 3.2.1 . I got it a couple days ago and I noticed that it never performs any
of these “smartphone” style transitions….??? Should I change it for another,….more up-to-date…ONE….????

P.S.S. Tried to upload the example files but they are to large. So I’ll hve to splitt them up and them a little later.
