support-pradeepMemberMilan,
Sorry that you are seeing this issue.
1) Can you please verify the file size and md5 sum matches that is mentioned in the download site to make sure the download is complete? If the size does not match, please try downloading the installer once again and retry ?
For your convenience I am pasting file size and md5 sum here for you :
Full Installer: ~ 1199mb
MD5: f214104dac2823bbfe75dd0d8a01ea9c2) Are you behind a firewall or proxy ?
3) If you are still seeing issues, can you please let us know if you had changed the default installation location in the MyEclipse installation wizard ? Please mention the exact steps you performed after running the MyEclipse installer ?
December 9, 2013 at 9:55 am #345097Hi,
1) MD5 is the same, the size is 1,16 GB (1.257.114.280 Bytes)
2) Are you behind a firewall or proxy ? No.
3) The problem is that MyEclipse installation wizarad doesn’t start so I can’t answer to these questions.
Thankyou

support-pradeepMemberMilan,
Can you please attach the installation log file to help us investigate further ? You can find the installation log file named ‘pulse-one- .log’ in the ‘Temp’ folder (you can find the path of temp folder by entering echo %TEMP% in the command prompt).
Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
December 10, 2013 at 12:04 am #345129Hi,
I want to attach the log file but I get a message “The Extension log is not allowed”.

support-pradeepMemberMilan,
You cannot attach a .log extension file to the forum post. Please change the extension to .txt and attach the file here.

support-tonyKeymasterMilan,
I’m sorry about the delay in getting back to you. We’ve been trying to figure out what could cause the issue you see, without success so far. We’ll respond when we have either figured it out or to ask for more information. By the way, unfortunately, the log files you attached were from previous uninstalls that you did, on earlier releases of MyEclipse. I guess that the installers for MyEclipse 2014 didn’t get to the point where they write to a log file.
In the meantime, there is another installation method that doesn’t use the installers. You can install a standard eclipse 4.3 package and then install the MyEclipse plug-ins on top of that, using the MyEclipse update site. The instructions for that are given on the download page. It’s also possible to download the update site as an archive file and use that to install on top of eclipse. In this case, download the archive file from the download page and browse to the downloaded archive when defining the update site to use, in the eclipse install wizard.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

elichtasMemberI had the exact same issue and found that it was a problem with the default JVM installed on my PC. I was able to re-install the Java EXE from Oracle and the myeclipse installer was able to proceed past the initial Preparing MyEclipse Installer dialog.
