    My development environment is followings:

    WinXP (pro.)+sp2

    JDK 1.5.0_07
    Eclipse 3.1 SDK
    MyEclipse 4.1.1 EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_4.1.1GA_E3.1 (trial)
    Tomcat-5.5.9

    JDK 1.5.0_07
    Eclipse 3.2 SDK
    MyEclipse5.0M2 EnterpriseWorkbenchInstaller_5.0M2_E3.2 (trial)
    Tomcat-5.5.9

When I set the application server( ex. Tomcat)’s JDK, appear following error message dialog.
Perhaps because use the trial version…?

    messege
To launch an application server,a full JDK(not just a JRE)must be specified.
If the selected JRE is actually part of a full JDK,please update its configuration to point to the JDK installation root directory, not to its included jre subdirectory.

What is the path of the JDK that are you setting tomcat with? It needs to be the full java SDK, like c:\jdk1.5.0_06. It will not work with the jre that is installed by default by the jdk in the c:\program files\java\***.

The Pref window shows that full JDK should be shown, even if it is full SDK, it does not work

    vdighe,

Can you answer few queries –
    1. Can you copy and paste your installation details here? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2. Open .log file located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log and copy and paste relevant issues here
    3. Can you send a screenshot of Window > Preferences > Java > Installed JREs and also list what is the default JRE selected
    4. Can you mention what is the app server you have configured and how you have added the JDK to the app server? Can you attach screenshot?
You can either [pm] me the screenshots or send a mail to support@genuitec.com with this weblink as reference and add ATTN:Joy in the subject. This will help in quick tracing.
