The issue with the RentCarDemo templates is that a couple of us created them on an internal version of MyEclipse that lead to the plan to open them up for ME5.0. We have learned a lot in this process and expanded our vision of how they should be integrated and user customizable. Because of the increased scope and our primary focus to get ME5.0 into GA state on Callisto we have pushed full template support to ME 5.1.
