Sorry for the confusion, but your install is fine. After an upgrade it will still show the old splash, unfortunately. It’s because the splash the installer uses is installed separately, outside the MyEclipse installation rather than using a splash within it. We’ve got a bug report to fix it in the next release.
If it bugs you, there is a workaround. You can simply change the startup alias to point to the 5.1 version of the splash screen located at <myeclipe-install>/plugins/com.genuitec.myeclipse.product/splash.bmp, which is basically what the installer will do in the next release. 🙂
