Right-clicking faces-config.xml and choosing Open With does not display “MyEclipse JSF Editor” as an option.

MyEclipse > Add JSF Capabilities is greyed out.

Content type settings and editor file associations all look ok.

This used to work and think the problem statred when I viewed the faces-config.xml with the xml editor (but I’m not sure)

The MyEclipse > Add JSF Capabilities is greyed out since your project already has JSF capabilities added to it. Can you see if the MyEclipse JSF editor is associated with the *.xml file under Windows> Preferences > General > Editors > File Association. Try adding it and see if it shows up under open with.

If that doesn’t help, you should try cleaning your workspace using the -clean command line arrgument.

Let me know if this helps.

Under File Associations > Associated Editors for .xml I highlighted the “MyEclipse JSF Editor” and pressed Default button. This solved my problem.

    Thanks for your support.
