Scott AndersonParticipantSure. We worked through through the weekend are the QA builds are looking much tighter. We won’t release today (15th) as we’d liked but we should be more than 2-3 days out. No one really wants to work another weekend so we’re putting in extra effort to make sure M1 gets out in the next few days.
May 15, 2006 at 2:46 pm #252048Ok thanks. Can’t wait.

Scott AndersonParticipantUs either. 🙂

Scott AndersonParticipantAll,
Here’s an update without prompting. We think we’re one build away from a public release and are anticipating being able to get 5.0M1 out to you either late tonight (Wed GMT -5) or during the day on Thursday. Thanks again for you continued patience as we do our best to make sure any migration issues from 4.1.1 are minimal for y’all.

Eyun NielsenMemberThe first sign of trouble is often: “…We worked through through the weekend…” 😉
As a developer I’m fully aware of how hard this is – especially when the reference is the eclipse project… I’m very, very, very impressed by the eclipse project process – it works like clockwork (Milestones every 6(or 8) weeks and a release every june)…
So lets give the MyEclipse team some slack: Guys – It’s alright if only you are done by 5:30 pm today ;-D

Scott AndersonParticipantAll,
Today is *the day*. All the download servers have finished replicating the new release and we’re working on updating the website with the links in the Development Releases area of the download page. Install instructions and New & Noteworthy updates are currently “in work” as well. In any event, it will be a couple of hours and 5.0M1 will be a reality!

May 19, 2006 at 10:10 am #252231Hey Scott,
you also promised a “New and Noteworthy” document as well 🙂
Best regards,
Robert
ps.: downloading already 🙂

Scott AndersonParticipantyou also promised a “New and Noteworthy” document as well 🙂
And I still do promise one! That’s just one promise we’ll have to deliver on later today. 🙂
ps2: what is the Callisto release? 🙂
If you don’t know, consider yourself blessed. 😉 Seriously, it’s about 10 random Eclipse projects that chose to try to synchronize their delivery schedules to help out adopters, like us.

From that I take they did not really succeed, so far. 🙂

DavidMemberHi,
In the Matisse4MyEclipse realease for 4.1.1, it was mentioned Matisse would become available for Linux in 5.0M1, but I notice the M1 version is still Windows-only.
So, what is the new target for Matisse on Linux? M2?
