    gcstang,

Just unzip the archived update site into the /dropins folder under the 3.4.1 install and see if it works.

Did this, seems to work with JDK 5 but not 6. Is MyEclipse 7 suppose to have JDK 6 support?

    gcstang,

MyEclipse is only certified to run using 1.5.0_11 specifically, but others run it with some newer JRE releases without many problems in some cases.

NOTE: The JDK you run MyEclipse with has no impact on the JDK you can use in your projects (1.2, 1.3, 7.0, 6.0, whatever).

Only thing I noticed was that the workspace prompt doesn’t appear on linux with JDK 5 (64bit), I checked my properties and it say’s to prompt but it doesn’t.

    gcstang,

Could you try adding -data to the shortcut and then starting the workbench to see if the prompt appears?

    gcstang,

This was a bug we had squashed in a previous release, but now it looks like it might be back. The downside is that you have to fire up the workbench before switching to the workspace you want. A quick workaround (not great, but atleast avoids two startups) is to create shortcuts that pre-specify the workspace you’d like to launch:
    eclipse.exe -data C:\workspace1

and so on. We’ll try and get this fixed shortly, sorry for the trouble.
