Having the same issue with any JSP files under MyEclipse 4.0 GA and Eclipse 3.1 (Build id: I20050627-1435 – Is that GA?)
Several clean installs involved. Is this the same bug or did I miss something else? If it is a bug, is there somewhere on this site where I can find the progress in fixing it?

    Thanks,
    Ann

    Yes

Can you please clarify exactly what the problem is. If you have log entries in your log file, can you past them?

You can always try a new workspace to make sure that isn’t it: File > Switch Workspace > C:\tempworkspace, hit OK, now create a new web project, and add a HTML file to it, and open it. Did it work?

I had the same problem as above (i.e. An error has occurred when initializing the input for the the editor’s source page. …). I fixed it by going to the properties of the project and going to the “Java build path” and selecting the “Order and Export” tab and selecting all the jar files for my build path. It works now.

This fixed it for me also, but should not have to export the jars in the build props. still need a real fix,

This is not a MyEclipse problem! I was using Eclipse 3.11, and encountered the problem immediately after installing a new PlugIn (weblogic debugging plugin in eclipse), and all of a sudden, I was not able to see my XML viewer in Eclipse. All you have to do is simply delete the offending plugin. Simply goto C:\eclipse\plugins and delete the new plugin directory you just installed

    Thanks cjiras

I just did what you suggested and it worked.

    The jars that I added
    jsp-api.jar
    jstl.jar
    servlet-api.jar
    standard.jar
