Leo BlumeMemberNo matter what I do, this happens:
Cannot find a solution satisfying the following requirements org.eclipse.ui.views.properties.tabbed [3.4.0.I20080527-2000].
Have tried Archived and Online. Pulse has not worked for me.
3.4.1 + 7.0 were fine installing (but have been running into problems that 3.4.2 seems to fix so I’d like to move up in the world.)
Please advise.

Leo BlumeMemberLet me add the addendum that this was with the archived update and that I started with Eclipse Classic 3.4.2

support-joyMembertrovix,
ME 7.0 and ME 7.1 are locked to Eclipse 3.4.1. We are currently working on updating MyEclipse to work with Eclipse 3.4.2. Please bear with us, while we try to iron out all the small details. For the time being, I would recommend you to grab Eclipse 3.4.1 and MyEclipse from archive site. Sorry for the inconvinience caused.

Leo BlumeMemberwhy?

support-joyMembertrovix,
When the work began on MyEclipse 7.1 release, we had Eclipse 3.4.1, which we had to take as a base. Just after it went to QA release, Eclipse released 3.4.2, if we would have waited to incorporate Eclipse 3.4.2 as base, it would have delayed our release. Let me assure you that guys at Genuitec are working round the clock to get the next release up and running. If you go through the features list, you will realize that MyEclipse has grown a lot and comes packed with a lot of goodies. QA is rigorous and time consuming as it means testing in different platforms and checking all the features and fixing issues from previous releases. Management decided to release this version so as not to delay the release.

Leo BlumeMemberOh, I’m not asking why the delay, I’m asking why did it work at all! 🙂 It seems to be working correctly for me but from what I understood from your post, it should not have installed.
Also, in the case of Eclipse self-updates, what should expect to no work judging from your QA so far?

support-joyMemberMyEclipse 7.x has not been tested with 3.4.2 so we don’t support ME with 3.4.2 officially but since it works for you, they might be compatible. Can you copy and paste your installation details for me, you need to go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Detail. I will try to validate this at my end.
