    I have a fresh install of Ubuntu 9.04 32bit
    With java version “1.6.0_13” JDK

Downloaded and installed myEclipse 7.5 AllInOne
In the MyEclipse Dashboard I clicked to install “Subversion control”. It worked ok, and I could check out code from repository.

But I also needed the subclipse (svn client). I found “Subclipse Plug-in” and “Project Set Plugin” in the “Team Development” category under Add/Remove Software. But when I try to update I get the following error

This profile can not be resolved because required software could not be located.
Could not locate installable unit: com.csc.dip.projectset.feature.feature.group 0.0.0

Checked update site http://www.poweredbypulse.com/pulse/download/live and found 1 installable units.

It is the Project Set Plugin that causes it.

Hoping that I could live without it, I happily tried to update some software with svn using a .psf file … more problems…

Cannot map the project with svn provider

    /home/benny/Workspaces/MyEclipse/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.projects/bannerserver1/.indexes/properties.index (Too many open files)

In the log I see something about
    Updating installed JREs
    Found no JREs to update.

When I restart myEclipse after this I get (and other errors too)
An internal error occurred during: “Local Maven repository check”.

    Any idea?
My colleagues have tried updating mysql for some time now, and are still stuck with 7.0. Quite frankly we are so fed up…Making Pulse is the dummest thing Genuitec has ever done. It causes nothing but pain and frustration

    bhjertaas,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue.

Could not write metadata for ‘/home/benny/Workspaces/MyEclipse/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.projects/bannerserver1/.indexes/properties.index’.
    /home/benny/Workspaces/MyEclipse/.metadata/.plugins/org.eclipse.core.resources/.projects/bannerserver1/.indexes/properties.index (Too many open files)

Here is the fix – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshooting-how-to-fix-too-many-open-files-on-linux/
Let me know how this works for you.
