We are using MyEclipse-7.0, whenever i open MyEclipse-7.0 i am getting popup MyEclipseDashboard for MyEclipse plugins update.
My Question is:
1. I dont want the additional plugins to be updated, how can i disable update plugin option.
2. When i install my plugin MyEclipse automaticattly includes the latest MyEclipse plugins for installation for ex: com.genuitec.eclipse…….upgrade 7.0.0 to 7.1.0, i dont want to install any additional plugin apart from my plugin is there a way to do it.Thanks.

You can go to Windows > Prefs > MyEclipse > MyEclipse Dashboard and uncheck “Show MyEclipse DashBoard on startup”.

How are you installing the plugins that you get the option to upgrade MyEclipse? Im not sure if you are aware of the “/dropin folder” way to setup plugins with MyEclipse. You can check this link out.:-

Thanks for the update, i am installing the plug-in through help–>software update–>add/remove software and selecting my plugin locally, but apart from my plugin some default myeclipse plugins are getting installed through inetrnet (ex:com.genuitec.eclipse…….upgrade 7.0.0 to 7.1.0) site i want to disable that plugin download since its taking long time to insatll over internet how can i do that?

2. Is that the only way we can disable MyEclipse Update-7.1 or we have any other option to disable?
We are in a critical phase, we need to resolve the issue, please provide me an option to disable MyEclipse update?

I got the screenshot you sent me.1. For the dropin option you have mentioned we have to extract MyEclipse-7.1.0 plugin zip files, where i can get the same?
You dont have to extract the zip files. You have to paste the zip file (ant plugin) in the [MyEclipse installation directory]/dropins and the plugin will be picked up automatically.
2. Is that the only way we can disable MyEclipse Update-7.1 or we have any other option to disable?
Im afraid this is the only workaround at the moment. This is a limitation that we will fix very soon.

I the link you have provided above it says that you have to extract your plugin zip files under dropin but you are refering to ant file in both case i have to get the file, where i can find the file? and if you could give more deatils on how to use dropin it will be very helpful apart from the link you have provided.

2. You DONT want to upgrade to ME 7.1.

3. Which plugin you want to setup with ME?
Its our own plugin which we want to setup with ME but when we install our plugin its automatically installing ME 7.1 from internet.Ok got it. There is a limitation that you cannot setup a plugin via Software updates without automatically updating to 7.1. The only workaround for you is to drag and drop your plugin into the /dropin folder under MyEclipse folder. But you need to have the plugin in an archive format.

7.0 installer has been replaced with the 7.1 installer since this version has some bug fixes over the previous version. Is there a reason you want to setup 7.0?Hi,
Our Techstack has been freezed and we dont want to change our TechStack, so we want to stick with MyEclipse-7.0, please provide me the link to download MyEclipse-7.0.
You have mentioned in the previous post that MyEclipse-7.1 has some bug fixes, please provide me the list of critical bugs fixed or the link were i can find the same.
