First, I need to clarify that the image that stretches is the image on the start-up screen. What happens is that the image basically fills the screen for a few seconds, and then reduces in size so that the title of the app, my copyright information, and the button the user needs to click to get into the app itself are displayed. It’s the stretching of the image that is vexing me. Attached is a screen shot of the start-up screen in design mode.
Secondly, the image is a .png file. I’m not sure, however, whether or not I have its dimensions correct. How would I double-check that?
Thirdly, I have checked the “keep aspect ratio” checkbox.
Ultimately, of course, what I would like is for the start-up screen to behave like other splash screens and display for a few seconds and then automatically close and open the main page of my app. I’m looking through the tutorials on that.
Here are the files for a test app I just created showing the behavior I’ve described. I uploaded the test file and ran it on my iPhone and found that, again, the image on the startup screen stretched as with my other app.

OK, I have read section 6 of the online help. I have done what was suggested in that section, but my app still doesn’t display the “splash screen” at startup and then the “main page” (Page1.mobi) which I have attached to this post.
Any help would be most appreciated.
