Hello everyone I am new member to this forum. And I am facing a problem with myeclipse 4.1 and Weblogic 8.1. I configured the Weblogic like this: . And when I am trying to start Weblogic server from Myeclipse toolbar I am getting the following error:
“A configuration error occurred during startup. Please verify the preference field with the prompt:’Execution Domain Root’. For Weblogic 6, the Execution Domain Root must be a directory containing a subdirectory named ‘config’ that contains all the execution domains. Typically this is the same as the Weblogic installation directory. For more information see:http://e-docs.bea.com/wls/docs61/adminguide/startstop.html#1026989 since it does not contain a directory named ‘config’.”

Actually I am using weblogic8.1. I am not getting what is the problem.
Anybody please help me to solve this problem. Thanks in advance

    vnaveen,
Can you go to MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details and paste the information here for me.

Are you configuring the Weblogic 8 connector or the Weblogic 6 connector ?

p.s. Why are you not upgrading to the latest version of MyEclipse (6.0.1) ? You are working with a very old version.

Are you able to start the server outside MyEclipse? Have you configured the Weblogic JDK name under the connector to point to your installed JDK 1.4.2 ?

    Hi Nipun

Yes, Weblogic8.1 is running outside MyEclipse. And i configured JDK.

    vnaveen,
Can you give me the full path of the connector you are configuring,

Also, can you give me *all* the configuration settings for each field except for the username and password.

    Hi,

    This is Sumadhur.Adapa.
We can easily solve this problem by setting the JDK path correctly.
Procedure is select: Preferences –>MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench–>Servers–>Weblogic–>Weblogic 8.x or Weblogic xx.x–>JDK
and then enter the Weblogic JDK name like your jdk name(which is installed in your PC).
    and then click ok.
    start your weblogic server.
    It will work fine.
