greenislandMemberJust designed a simple app and tried it on a 7″ tablet and I don’t know way the all the transitions I put between the screen don’t work at all….on the table
like the do in the Test Center.Did I miss out on something or do they only work on phones?
BrandonMemberCan you be a little more specific on the tablet you are using and what is not working in the transitions?
I have used Mobione apps on an Acer Iconia without a problem.
greenislandMemberI’m using a SmartTab 7″ with an Android 3.2.1. Now what I mean is that the transitions work pretty good in the test center,…on the tablet the screens are just
quickly fade in and out. Now I’m pretty new to the app and smartphone world so I was wondering what I was doing wrong….?
BrandonMemberWhen you set the buttons to go to a new screen you can set the transitions, have you tried changing them off of Default to see if they react differently?
For example, force them into right or left transitions.
greenislandMemberNo I didn’t try that. I know about the transition options and I would have definetly tried out different options. I was testing the Trail version of mobione and
I just got the SmartTab in the last two days before the trail ended. I’m really interested in the programm but after a lot of trail and even more ERRORS I became uncertain if I should buy it.
BrandonMemberDepending on what you are planning its well worth the price. If you are a decent businesses minded person you can easily make your money back on your first job. But i know several people who also just do it for fun and are happy with the purchase.
greenislandMemberWell just completed the transaction…! You see I’m want to build an Touristguide app. So I’ll have to work a lot with the google api and after concentrating
most of the trail period on that I was really surprised that a “simple” transition didn’t work.
One last question for today…should my SmartTab perfom such transitions or should I look for another “testing device” to beginn with?
…
BrandonMemberYes that sounds interesting. I have been playing around with the Google’s Places API the last couple days for an app Im doing. Im not familiar with the SmartTab, I do have an iPhone, droid (older one) and a Acer Iconia I use to test on.
Just a thought but you might want to look into the Directions API also, it returns a JSON of the turn by turn directions.

Don’t know yet what you mean by all that….but I’m sure I’ll figure that out in the next days.
Well I was working on the design the last two days and today I tried to make the google API’s work.
All I was able to do was to center the map on a certain location and to set markers. Works on the tablet aswell.
I also tried to add the gmap libary using the JavaScript Libraries bottom in the properties panel but I don’t kow if I did it right?
I’m sure it’s just a little mistake/thing I don’t know already that makes it not do what I want it to do,…..!!???
Just loaded dow some videos and other tutorial to find it out,…………another Nightshift though….!
Saludos
P.S. Adressing once more the transition problem…I think the slide and other transitions in you can choose from in mobione only
work on phones and not on tablets…………….would be glad to find out I’m wrong…!

Based in your android version, you should use a FADE transition. Please take a look a this table about Android Screen Transitions: http://www.genuitec.com/mobile//docs/highlights/2.0.0/#sec7This table is based on the set of devices and os versions we have in our lab, so, your mileage may vary.
Hope this is helpful for you. -
