I have all the iOS 7 icons.widgets et al fronm a third party. Why Can’t I “import” them to start using them?
OR, Why am I seeing old icons, panels, lists, icons, widgets etc that Apple no longer accepts in the App store after their force to sue the iOS7?
How can I continure to use MobiOne unless you have another product (heard of MyEclipse but…???) that we can upgrade too if MyEclipse has the iOS 7 stuff available why did they sell me MobiOne?
Very frustrated new guy here…”very” and any help from you experts (Paul maybe in the UK with the YouTube Videos… you;re great dude!!!) wanna help a South Welshman lost in Houston Texas…? please let me know… I would love to dialogue with you – in fact, I am going to be in London March 11, 12 and 13 2014 so….!!!

In actual fact they do still accept them, I have recently updated 2 apps that were built with M1, both over a year old with no design changes whatsoever.

    Hi yer_tizz,

I shared your concern for lack of ios7 look & feel support with my team. I learned that Wayne followed up by email. Some users have been successful with the new itunes requirement that apps be optimized for ios7 by manually styling their widgets to be similar to the ios7 look and feel. I am working on a simple template with the widgets restyled for ios7 appearance to be available on Wednesday.

The second issue with an app not installing on an ios device is almost always a result of using a misconfigured profile. Specifically the profile must include the device id of the device you are attempting to install up on. You can do a quick check by opening the profile in an editor such as wordpad and scan down until you see the device IDs listed. Verify that your device id is included in the list.

    Thanks Octavio.
Where is the profile file you speak off located?
Also note the image I sent Wayne identifies clean passes on all certs and ID’s at the appropriaiate section (no little red crosses!!).

For the record, I used the ID from mousing over the Serial# on my MAC Retina Pro using the latest update of iTunes to reveal the correct UDID. I am familiar that since iOS6, none of the UDID apps are trustworthy 🙂

One more thing, when you post me, shouldn’t I be getting an e-mail or tickle that you have posted? I recall clicking on something within the forum that said this so I would not miss anything.

Please take a look at the image I sent to verify I have done everything correct?
    Cheers again,
    Phil

    Hi Phil,

The screenshot only tells part of the story. The ios build wizard can only verify that the cert/pk/profile match. So that looks ok. The wizard can not identify compatibility issue with specific devices.

A few questions to help narrow down possible causes:

    0) what device and ios version are you attempting to install on.
MobiOne apps are built with apples latest required tools that only support ios5 on iphone4s/ipad2 and above.

    1) have you confirmed that the file you are referencing includes the device UDID you are installing on?
Open the profile in an editor and verify. We have seen other users confuse their profiles and beat head against wall over something simple.

    2) have you previously successfully built and installed an ios app using MobiOne App Center?

    3) are you enabling any notification or other special features in your profile?

    >shouldn’t I be getting an e-mai

Enable the “Notify me when a reply is posted” option at the bottom of any of your posts on this thread. Then if no updates check your spam folder.

    iPhone 5 – iOS 7.0.6

I need to know where this file lives before I can open it? Where does it livewithin the MobiOne scheme of files? I need help on this Octavio?

    No. First time.

    3) are you enabling any notification or other special features in your profile?
Don’t think so but there again, once you direct me to where this file is, I can open it and send you what’s inside?

Undersood on the notifications. Got that now 🙂

The file should be located where you saved it. If you don’t remember the location you can click on the […] button next to the X in the provision profile file section and the file dialog will open the location of last provision profile file used. If you can not find it on disk you can download it again from ios dev portal.

    Phil,
Debugging why your device will not install on a test device is very difficult. In 99 percent of all cases the issue has been the user did not configure and use his signing data correctly. For the 01 percent it is some device or build anomaly. To proceed the standard approach for debugging such cases is to get something working and then deviate from that to the actual env that the error occurs. Do you have another ios device that you can build and try an installation on? That would help confirm/deny a device specific problem.

The 2 approaches you may consider are consulting with someone that is an expert with setting up your signing data such as http://www.appstoreuploader.com or others on this forum (low cost and they will directly setup all your data removing any variables for error). Our corporate policy prohibits us from doing this. The other option is we will generate a simple test app that can try installing to isolate where the issue resides. For the latter approach you will need to do the following:

    0) add a device to your ios dev account with this UDID 3b55aa078d7ef154b9c75e875a1658530de14202
this is one of our test devices

    1) create an Ad hoc distribution profile that includes your test device and the one above

    2) send us the pk, certificate and provision profiles by email
    – send it to your current open ticket if possible

    3) we will create a test app (helloworld) and ensure it installs on our test device. Then we will send you the installation link.

    >SHouldn; the install put a provisioning profile file in my Settings during the install process?

I’m not following your question here. You own the provision profile and there is no standard way that they are managed. Please elaborate.

I’ve created the necessary files for you to go the test app option.
Are these postings private between just you and me?
Is there an Upload function somewhere I can’t see?
How do I send them to you?
    Cheers

    Octavio:

Don’t ask me how, but I have it working on my iPhone. I have no idea what I did but create through another provisioning profile and follwed the steps.

I am baffled and now worrysome if I don;t know how I fixed it, I will be flapping next time around…. but let me wallow in some success first I guess!!!!

So… are the iOS7 widgets coming along? 🙂 I mean you’ve had nothing esle to do today except support me right 🙂

Much appreciated… responsive support is where I put my money… things will always go wrong and bump in the night… its how you respond is the main thing !

Now I have to find some javascript base that lets me capture an image from the camera and place it inside a container- same for getting an image from the albums and save to a container? Do you know of anyone out there who have proven scripts that work with MobiOne for camera image a) taking and b) image recovery from cameral roll/or albums?

Thanks again… and hope the iOS7 wasn’t too distrubed today 🙂

PS: I am still willing to send you the .cer, .pk and Provisioning profile files if you tell me where to send them? Maybe we could both learn from looking at them? How do you read a Provisioning Profile anyway, it’s binary??

    Cheers
    Phil
