Hi,

I am trying to install MyEclipse 8.6.1 and getting the following “The Pulse-explorer executable launcher was unable to locate its companion shared library”. I tried to rerun the executable but with the same result.. What am I missing. Appreicate your help on this.

Can you elaborate more and answer below queries –

1. Are you trying to install MyEclipse 8.6.1 using all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site?
2. What is the OS and version you are on?
3. Have you verified the file size and md5sum of the installer matches that mentioned in the download site?
4. Are you behind any firewall / proxy?

I would recommend you an alternative of installing using pulse. Please do the following –

1. Open Pulse (Start > Pulse > Pulse Explorer or download from http://www.poweredbypulse.com)
2. Select Eclipse – Galileo realm from top left hand corner dropdown
3. Expand and click on – Ready to use Profiles > Popular
4. Select MyEclipse 8.6 from the right hand pane, right click on the same and click on [Install and run]
5. This will open a wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
