I just finished installing MyEclipse 10.7.1 on a new PC, and whenever I go into Help – MyEclipse Configuration Center and then click on the Software Tab, it continually pops up a Model Dialog telling me that “Authentication Required” for Host eclipse.poweredbypulse.com.

Is this something in my environment (i.e. our Network Proxy Server) or something implemented inside MyEclipse or on the named Host (eclipse.poweredbypulse.com) itself ?

How can I resolve this ? I cannot get past this non-stop popup dialog to get SVN installed…

    Kevin,

    Thank you for trying MyEclipse.

Are you behind a firewall or proxy ? If yes then you should setup firewall / proxy information in MyEclipse here – Window > Preferences > General > Network Connections.

You may need to ask your network guys to whitelist http://www.poweredbypulse.com,
    downloads.poweredbypulse.com, http://www.myeclipseide.com, and http://www.genuitec.com.

If you are still seeing issues, please attach the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log along with a screenshot of the issue to help us investigate further.

Let us know how it works for you.
