i created a web project and scaffolded using spring and chose MVC style
all according to the instruction given in the link belowbut when i try to run it in MyEclipse server application it shows a 404 page instead of the given jsp page.

Sorry that you are seeing this issue. I could not replicate the issue at my end on ME4S 10.6.
1. Can you please share the Installation Details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details ?
2. Can you please browse to the ME tomcat deployment location and check if the application has been deployed or not ?
3. Clear the contents of the .log file which is located at <workspace dir>/.metadata/.log. Now replicate the issue and copy paste the contents of the .log file for us.
