struggling to get a page to scroll correctly.

i have some info i want to add but its longer than the screen so i used panel with scroll bar from the containers.

this isnt scrolling like i want, you have to put your finger to the right on the scroll bar to scroll. i want people to just be able to swipe down. how do i do this?

also im only running a trial version of mobione, when i buy the full version will the app icon be the icon i choose? at the moment its like a pencil and ruler?

Hi Andy,

For the scrolling issue you need to increase the content area height of your panel. Please see last part of The Scrolling Panel Widget section:

Can you tell me how did you setup the homescreen icon? and if this happen on real device or Test Center? Is a native or web app? Does it fail for one icon only or for all icons you have tried? Also, could you share your icon? Send it to support at genuitec dot com, use title icon issue from andy_con

ive increased the height of the panel but still a very unsmooth scroll, your fingers needs to be in the right place at the right time to get it to scroll. why??

this is the last issue i need to solve before releasing my app so all help welcome

ah right i slowly understanding the problem

im creating a panel which has the scroll bar in it.

i then create a tx area in the panel (more than one)

the tx area is not scrollable so if i put my finger in one of the tx areas it does not scroll. if my finger misses one of the tx areas and land in the panel it scrolls.

so how do i solve this problem?

I second Paul’s comments. HTML5 web app all the way….I am not as gifted as other developers, so I focus my efforts on simple website replicas. Apple does not like these at all these days. Google play on the other hand is also much easier.

My suggestion is don;t be discouraged by the powers that be. Always do what you think is best and be creative and you will go a long way.

Also, thanks to Mobi One and all the support you guy’s have shown.

How much did you increase the Content Area Height to?

I do mine by 1/2 of the panel size over the text. This allows for large fingers and offsets.

currently the content area height is 538

ok done the page in html as suggested a few posts above and all scrolling issues sorted, just a shame the mobione widges dont work properly
