gerardvijayMemberHi,
When we try to install plugins in MyEclipse-7.0, its getting installed under default location under C:\Program Files\Genuitec\Common\plugins.
My Question:
1. Is there a way we can select different location to install our plugin.
Why we are not able to select a different location in MyEclipse-7.0, is it a limitation or does this has some fix?
Regards,

Loyal WaterMemberGerard,
You cannot select a different location for setting up the plugins. The plugins are picked up by the IDE from this location. Is there a reason why you want to setup the plugins to a different location?

Loyal WaterMemberI’m not aware of a workaround for this issue but I’ll check with the dev team and let you know incase they are aware of something.

psgman113MemberI’m trying to install a plugin named Hibernate Tools. So i downloaded the zip file and i extracted.
There are two folders: features and plugins.I copy the features files to the features folder : C:\users\user\appdata\local\genuitec\Common\features
I copy the features files to the plugins folder : C:\users\user\appdata\local\genuitec\Common\pluginsI execute myeclipse.exe -clean in the commande msdos.
But i don’t find my hibernate console in MyEclipse when i click on Windows/Show View and i search Hibernate .Why are there two others plugins and features folders in C:\users\user\appdata\local\genuitec\My Eclipse7.0 ?
I tried to install SQLExplorer plugin and it’s the same thing, it does not appear in my view perspective.
thanks you.

Loyal WaterMemberpsgman113,
What version of MyEclipse are you working with? Incase you are working with ME 7.0, you cannot drop plugins into the plugin folder and get them to work. You will have to set them up using Help > Software Updates > …January 22, 2009 at 3:17 am #293806

ernestzMemberCan you install JBoss Hibernate Tools when MyEclipse already provides integrated Hibernate support which is, more or less, functionally the same?
I have even had problems installing these Hibernate tools into just a regular Eclipse 3.4 (Ganymede) installation.

Loyal WaterMemberpsgman113,
Can you please check if you can get the plugin to work with regular eclipse 3.4? Incase it works wit 3.4, you can try setting this up with 7.0M2. -
