dblackardMemberI’m having a hard time searching in the BB. I am told my words are too generic or such so it does not execute the search. I can’t seem to give unique enough words that will initiate a search.
EX. I saw a post that addressed the problem of the end user clicking a list item with a GoToURL link. Once they go to the URL there is no way back to the Web App. Several solutions where listed.
I have tried various combinations of words, but it will not execute the search because of my poor word choice. 😉
Any help would be appreciated. Especially if you can point me to that post I mentioned. Thanks
Paul GMemberHello
I have experienced the same frustration that you describe.
I constantly get the message “The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words:”
Searching the BB for “iphone orientation” results in the message :
The following words in your search query were ignored because they are too common words: orientation iphone.
A google search for the same term results in: About 25,400,000 results (0.19 seconds)
The BB is basically unsearchable. You have to spend hours trolling through all the posts to find what you want.
Mobione please fix this.
Isn’t there a way that we could use the google search engine to search the BB just like I can use Google desktop to search my computer

Mobione the above link shows you how to add Google Site Search to the BB
I tested it and it works. Performing the same search “iphone orientation” gave me the following result:
