hi,
pls help.
I have tried to setup myeclipse with weblogic8, but failed.

error:
A configuration errors during start up. pls verify the field with the prompt:
Weblogic installations directory since it should contains a directory named “server”

scenario:
1/ weblogic installed root: C:\bea, bea home = c:\bea
2/ myserver and mydomain : C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain
underneath 2/ I have myserver and applications subfolders

I manually copy the war file into applications and run myserver using startWeblogic.cmd from C:\bea\user_projects\domains\mydomain
and eveything ok.
but If I tried setup server start from myeclipse, it always give me the the error as above

I have setup myeclipse with weblogic as :
window->preferences->myeclipse->application servers ->weblogic8. then set all field as:
enabled on, Bea home = c:\bea, weblogic installation=c:\bea , Admin username = weblogic, admin pwd= weblogic (that what I chose when installed weblogic), Execute domain= mydomain, server name= myserver, hostname:port=localhost:7001

now I can see the weblogic8-start button under little computer on myeclipse. but If I click on start button, it give me the error as above.
Pls someone tell me why??

Are there any exceptions in the Eclipse log file?

JDBC driver vendor and version, and access type (thin, type-2, etc):

Eclipse error logs related to com.genuitec.eclipse.sqlexplorer packages:

Looks like the issue is the WebLogic installation directory because it’s not the same thing as the BEA Home directory. For an example config that should clear things up, please see this FAQ entry here: http://myeclipseide.com/FAQ+index-myfaq-yes-id_cat-18.html

Once your config is similar, you should be up and running.
