Currently i am working on MyEclipse 8.5.

Upto last few days myeclipse sofware center worked properly.

But now it is showing as “Software and Workspace center is currently not available” at the time of 25% loading.

    Please find the attachments for

    1) MyEclipse > Installation Summary > installation Details

    2) /.metadata/.log

    Sri,

Sorry that you are seeing this issue.

    > Can you clarify whether you installed MyEclipse using offline installer or through pulse explorer ?

If you installed MyEclipse using offline installer, I recommend you repair or reinstall MyEclipse by rerunning that installer. it will list you 4 options, you could choose to repair the existing installation, create another copy of MyEclipse or re-install.

If you installed MyEclipse using pulse, please follow these steps :
    1. Download and install pulse from http://www.poweredbypulse.com. Open Pulse (Start > Programs > Pulse > Pulse Explorer)
    2. Login to pulse, you can also login anonymously
    3. Select “Eclipse – Galileo” realm from top left hand drop-down
    4. Select “MyEclipse 8.6” from *My Profiles*, right click on the same and click on [re-install and run]
    5. And follow the wizard, when prompted choose to restart the IDE

Alternatively, you can install MyEclipse 2013 (latest release) which doesn’t use pulse/configuration center for installing plug-ins. Please take a look at this thread for more information – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/myeclipse-2013-pulse-amp-myeclipse-configuration-center/

Let us know if you see any issues.

    Dear Pradeep,
    Thank you for your reply.

    I had installed through offline.

Suppose if i re-installed / rpaired through offline package, then the existing plugins / external plugins will automatically removed ? or still they will stay in my workbench?

Because i had configured lot of other plugins accordingly my work requirement. And i do not have time to reconfigure that plugins again.

    Please help me.

    Sri,

We are unable to replicate the issue at our end.

Yes, repairing / reinstalling MyEclipse will remove the plugins installed. So, you need to install and configure the plugins again.

    > Can you try switching to a new workspace and check whether you can replicate the issue in the new workspace ?
    > Can you please try opening MyEclipse using the -clean command ? Please refer this FAQ for more details – https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/troubleshoot-using-the-clean-command-line-argument/

If you are trying to install another plugin, can you please try enabling ‘Classic update’ under Window > Preferences > General > Capabilities and click Apply and Ok. Now, you can install plugins from Help > Software updates > Find and Install.

Let us know how it works for you.
