BayerischerMemberStruts 1.2.2 is now out for a while, but I didn’t find any announcements on the roadmap.
Do you plan to support Struts 1.2 in 3.8.2 or in 3.9?September 13, 2004 at 10:28 am #215089
support-michaelKeymasterWe have an enhancement request for this upgrade. We need to evaluate the full impact for the upgrade. It definitely will not be in next week’s 3.8.2 release since we have been targeting performance issues and lots of minor fixes. It will have to be in a follow up release after 3.8.2.
September 20, 2004 at 11:06 am #215599Now that Struts 1.2 GA is available, is there any word from the MyEclipse team on when Struts 1.2 support will be integrated with the workbench? Will this be part of the upcoming 3.8.2 build indicated on the roadmap?
(Sorry, I didn’t see the above posts addressing this issue.)

Terry RoeMemberRiyad,
Is Struts 1.2.x supposed to be supported in 3.8.2? I haven’t seen any reference to 1.2.x support. Can you give us an idea when this will be added?
Thanks,
TR

Riyad KallaMemberTR,
No it wasn’t, its too big of a change to do in a minor bug fix release like 3.8.2, I believe we are targetting the 1.2 support for 3.9 because it requires some changes to the RAD tooling. Please note that you are of course free to use Struts 1.2 yourself and update the JARs that are added when “Struts Capabilities” are added at any time, there are just some minor tweaks and testing that we need to verify with the new functionality before we flat out start shipping 1.2 with ME that we need to make sure it works right.

Terry RoeMemberRiyad,
OK, thanks for the clarification. I figured that was the case, but I hadn’t seen a definitive answer. Now I have one and I’m happy! 🙂
