    Hi

I am using MyEclipse 8.5 Professional release. I am having a problem installing subclipse 1.8. I already researched forum and did Google on this topic. None of the solutions mentioned helped. I dropped subcliplse folders into MyEclipse dropins folder and attempted to ‘apply changes’ in MyEclipse configuration Center but it comes back with following error message:

Bad update sites: org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.svnkit15.feature.group not found.
NOTE: My DEV environment is not connected to internet.

Please give detailed instructions on how to resolve it.

    Thanks

    greekshow,

You have to add plugins to [MyEclipse installation dir]/dropins/plugins and features to [MyEclipse installation dir]/dropins/features. If the folder dropins does not exist in the directory, then create one. Then restart your MyEclipse. After restarting, MyEclipse automatically detects the plugins. (There is no need of going to MyEclipse configuration center and apply changes).

You can download Subclipse 1.8 archived site folder from here
    http://subclipse.tigris.org/archive/

I strongly recommend upgrading to MyEclipse 10.6 to take advantage of over 2-3 years of development work and several new features added to MyEclipse.

You can download MyEclipse 10.6 from here

I already had plugins and features into separate folder under dropins. When I restarted MyEclipse, it tried to apply changes automatically, however I got different error message this time:

    Bad update sites:
Missing requirement: org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.javah|15.feature.group 0.0.0 could not be found.

NOTE: My environment is not connected to internet.

    Thanks

I forgot to mention in previous post that my colleague already attempted to install MyEclipse 10.6 and then subclipse 1.8. It was not successful.

    Thanks

    greekshow,

I could successfully install subclipse 1.8 using dropins method on MyEclipse 10.6.

Can you please download Subclipse 1.8 archived folder from here and try again in MyEclipse 10.6 ?

I still got bunch of errors when I attempted to install subclipse 1.8 (from your download site) on MyEclipse 8.5. My copy MyEclipse otherwise works perfect. I can not switch to 10.6 just yet.

Please let me know what to do.

    Thaks

    greekshow,

Sorry that you are still seeing issues.

Alternatively, You can add a plug-in to MyEclipse using an archived update site. Go to MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Add Site > Add from Archive, select the downloaded subclipse 1.8 zip file and follow the wizard.

Here is a detailed tutorial on how to add the plugins to MyEclipse :

Can you please upgrade to MyEclispe 8.6 and try the above alternative which installed subclipse 1.8 successfully at out end.
Go to MyEclipse Configuration Center > Software > Select MyEclipse enterprise workbench 8.6.1 > Click on apply changes and follow the wizard to upgrade to MyEclipse 8.6.1.

Let us know if you see any issues.

I finally installed MyEclipse 10.6 and then Subclipse 1.8. It worked.

    Thanks.
