CHESSEL PhilippeMemberHi,
We are in the process of upgrading our Subversion source code control to the latest svn 1.5 release.
Questions are:
1. Do Subeclipse or Subversive clients support svn 1.5 ?
2. Is subversive deprecated ?
3. Should we then switch to Subeclipse plugin ?Thanks
Philippe Chessel

Loyal WaterMemberPhilippe,
You should check with the Subclipse team for answers to the 1st and the 2nd question.September 17, 2008 at 1:57 pm #289141Hi,
Subversive SVN Kit 1.2.0 supports svn 1.5, I am using it since a few weeks without problems. Subversive also provides a native JavaHL 1.5 connector, but it is still a release candidate.Kind regards,

CHESSEL PhilippeMemberI managed to get Subversive with the latest connectors for Subversion 1.5.
The docs is not very explicit about the fact that 2 install stpes are needed : the Subversive Client and the SVN Connectors and I needed to add the Windows Binaries, having only Native Java HL implementation was giving a dll error(?).
Also, the fact Subversive version retrograded to 0.7 because of Eclispe Incubation does not help.

ejvyasMemberCan the MyEclipse team let us know the recommend plugin?

Loyal WaterMemberI would suggest you use CVS.

ejvyasMemberCVS plugin works for Subversion too?
We have been using Subversion since a long time and it used to be a default in Netbeans. Is there any recommended plugin for MyEclipse?

MikeMemberI’ve used Subversive and Subclipse. I actually like Subversive more, though that could be because I was actually able to get it to work first, and so got used to it. But since its split into 2 pieces, part an official Eclipse project, and the transport piece still controlled by Polarion, I started having so many problems with it that eventually it died, taking my entire MyEclipse installation with it! So currently I’m using Subclipse.

Users have been able to run the subversive as well as subclipse with MyEclipse without issue in the past so you can use any one of these.
