Tomcat JDK Name Problem

    This is probably a simple configuration error. But I have reset the name for the Tomcat JDK several times without success.

    Each time I try to stop or start the Tomcat server I get a dialog box which says:

    A configuration error occurred during startup. Please verify the preference field with the prompt: Tomcat JDK Name.

    I have gone through your tutorials and not found anything relating to this problem. Any direction would be appreciated. [/i]

    The problem is that you’re trying to run with a JRE, rather than a full JDK. A detailed quickstart on how to set up a server, that includes this problem precisely, is available in our documentation section here:
