How do you turn of auto-completion in MyEclipse XML Editor?

You mean how to turn it off from automatically popping up or how to turn it off such that even if you invoke it, it won’t popup?

It’s like, when I type “<!–” it will automatically append ” –>”, or if I try to end an xml element “</” it will add the element name to it, and I don’t want it to do that unless I force it to auto-complete.

For instance in java code I hit ctrl+space to force it to auto-complete, which would be nice in the other editors as well.

I noticed I have the same problem with auto-completion in jsp too, where it for example will append “%>” when I start a new “<%”. And I want to turn that off too. I just can’t find the option that disable it.

Oh, that behavior is most likely just a poor default, I don’t believe there is an option to turn that off (I thought you originally meant the popup).

We have a request to remove that default behavior as it is intrusive to some. I’m sorry about the trouble.
