Giovanni GrimoldiMemberI think it could be useful to have more entries for a specific connector.
I work in a situation where I need to develop a same project against Tomcat 5.0.x (JDK 1.4) and Tomcat 5.5.x (JDK 1.5).
But there is only a connector “Tomcat 5” in MyEclipse.
So I need to modify my connector properties everytime… and this is ugly…If a single connector type could have more “instance” entries one could be able to address more than a single instance of app server.
Another proposal could be a simple way to add new connector entries as needed.G.Grimoldi

joseluisdavilaMemberHi Scott,
I have just configured the Remote Debugging for EAServer 5.2, but the debugging options are very limited. Is there a way to redirect the log output from EAServer to the console? Is there any other way to extend the debugging capabilities for this particular container?
Thanks
Jose

By the way, for any server we don’t directly support, you can still use it with MyEclipse through our remote debugging capability. The Remote Debugging Quickstart in the Documentation section on the website has all the details on how to do it. The documentation
section is here: http://www.myeclipseide.com/ContentExpress-display-ceid-67.htmlApril 4, 2006 at 3:28 pm #249772
Riyad KallaMemberJose,
If the app server is started externally there is no magic to redirect the output to the Eclipse console unfortunately. Also if the app server doesn’t support JSR-45, your debugging capabilities will be very limited. Unfortunately there are not ways to extend functionality in more limiting app servers.

djhillMemberAnother vote for EAServer, but I’m wondering about availability: the earliest post dates to 2003!
The poll suggests roughly equal demand for EAS, WS and Geronimo, so I would hope these are in the works. When can we expect to see downloadables?
Thanks…

Riyad KallaMemberEAServer requests has been few and far between, we are not likely to support it at this point directly but you are free to use a custom deployment and remote debugging to get the exact same functionality (you just can’t launch/stop EA from within MyEclipse)
If WS means WebSphere, support for that has been part of MyEclipse since our initial releases.
Also Geronimo support was added in 4.1 or possibly earlier, I don’t quite remember.May 1, 2006 at 6:29 pm #251458ATG Dynamo please.
