After 4 months of arduous work, MyEclipse 2015 Stable 2.0 is finally here! This is definitely one of the most exciting releases of the year. Why? Because we not only continued maintaining and improving core Java EE features, but we also added awesome new features focused on enterprise web and mobile development.  2015 Stable 2.0 is based on Eclipse Luna SR 2 (4.4.2), includes productivity and performance improvements across the board, and updates to popular tooling such as EGit and Mylyn.

To get a better idea, check out our MyEclipse 2015 Stable 2.0 highlights video.

Talking about productivity, let’s talk about the code assist with completion guess and completion string support.  That’s right, we got that now! This amazing tool designed to increase your productivity is now closer to reading your mind!  Thanks MyEclipse! Just start typing and we will already be ahead of you with relevant options. People say love is finishing each other's sentences. Try finishing your code lines. Now THAT is love. We also have completion support for ECMAScript 6 Promises and JavaScript analysis is now faster out of the box.

Emmet integration also comes to our productivity train as a very nice addition. Writing HTML, even with our code completion; which can be quite helpful, still takes time and there was no way we were going to leave it there and not make it even easier for you to minimize your typing. Well, now with Emmet you can instantly see how simple abbreviations expand into complex code snippets.  Did we mention Emmet also works with CSS?

Ionic templates for PhoneGap mobile projects adds to this amazing list of goodies and our goals to simplify your life. With our templates, your project will already be set up to use this advanced framework - the Ionic libraries are included and we generate basic scaffolding code for different types of Ionic applications so you don’t have to figure this out yourself. Choose the type of application you like and start coding right away.
