With today's release of Eclipse 4.4.2 Luna SR2 comes an update to your Eclipse Pack Eclipse logofor Secure Delivery Center. Here's what you can expect in this pack update.

Eclipse 4.4.2 is a bug fix release, so no new features have been added. However, some really great fixes have been introduced.

  • Improved Build Time After MANIFEST.MF Changes - For anybody who writes plugins, this bug fix is going to revolutionize your life. Gone are the days of making a change and then going to get a cup of coffee!

  • Java Code Completion With Lambdas and Anonymous Classes - Java 1.8 users rejoice! Code assist now works when you've got both lambda expressions and anonymous classes in the same class. There are a bunch more fixes for 1.8 too, search Bugzilla for [1.8].

  • Fixed Big SWT Trees to No Longer Crash Eclipse - SWT trees have long had issues; they're one of the more complicated widgets out there.  With this fix, Eclipse gets that much more stable!  And it's not just this fix, 446534 addresses this too!

  • Better Behaved Workspace Selection Dialog - How often do you lose the Workspace Selection Dialog? You have to minimize all your other windows to find it!  Not anymore!
