Hi, any official progress what to do about this? Thanks/m
Requested operation cannot be performed because it would invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information.
MyEclipse Web Development Tooling (3.8.0) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.perfmsr.core”.August 18, 2004 at 11:19 am #212612
Riyad KallaMemberScott ran through this manually and it seems to be harmless. If you try and update Eclipse as well it reports the same fake problem. However we are looking into it anyway because a default clean Eclipse install does not give the warning.

mrothMemberIf it helps… I uninstalled 3.8.0 GA and reinstalled to a different DIR than the previous one. Now it works…
August 18, 2004 at 2:38 pm #212650
Riyad KallaMemberWhen you originally uninstalled ME< did you follow the steps ourlined in the forums (using the Disable feature)? And then did you unzip the GA release back into the same dir and readd it? That might be a use case we didn’t think of…

goetterwindMemberOops, just seen I startet a thread on this in the bug section.
Is there a way to merge threads? (https://www.genuitec.com/forums/topic/3-8ga-missing-plug-in/&highlight=)
I had the problem with a fresh Eclipse R3.0 and MyEclipse 3.8 GA
(And I always install into fresh directories)August 19, 2004 at 9:27 am #212722
Greg LindholmMemberI have the same problem with a fresh install of Eclipse 3.0 and ME 3.8GA.
August 19, 2004 at 9:56 am #212727
Riyad KallaMemberOk guys I just wanted to rule out he previous problem, we will keep trying on our end to reproduce this.
August 19, 2004 at 12:16 pm #212757
Greg LindholmMemberHow to reproduce the problem:
Help -> Software Updates -> Find and Install…
Select – Search for new features to install -> Next
Check – Eclipse.org update site -> Next
Check any feature in the list then click Error Details buttonAugust 19, 2004 at 2:07 pm #212770
Riyad KallaMemberI was not able to reproduce this locally, the error details button was not enabled for me and everything worked as expected… could this psosibly be a network issue? are you behind a proxy?
August 20, 2004 at 8:26 am #212835
Greg LindholmMemberNope, not behind a proxy. It connects to to the Eclipse.or update site and retrieves a list of available updates. But as soon as you click the check-box on one to install then you get the error message and the error button become enabled. And the message is:
MyEclipse Web Development Tooling (3.8.0) requires plug-in “org.eclipse.perfmsr.core”.
I did a clean install of Eclipse 3.0 and ME 3.8GA (not an update) but I am using a copy of a Workspace that was originally build with Eclipse 2.1.3 and ME 2.8Beta1.
Maybe something is leftover in the workspace?August 20, 2004 at 9:04 am #212848
Riyad KallaMemberHmm I’ll pass this along and see if the team can replicate it. We did fix tghe bug this original thread was about, which might fix that problem for you when the 3.8.1 release comes out.
August 23, 2004 at 11:13 am #213037
Greg LindholmMemberThis appears to be fixed in 3.8.1, Thanks.
August 23, 2004 at 11:45 am #213050
Riyad KallaMemberGlad to hear it.
