What version of Eclipse? What is the Build ID from the Help > About menu?

Did you restart using the -clean comand line argument?

    Eclipse version:

    Version: 3.1.1
    Build id: M20050929-0840

Yes I did use the -clean option, Gave it another try just in case and still no good.

If you create a new workspace: File > Switch Workspace, are the decoration back and working?

Recreating my workspace brings them back.

Wish there was an easier way though

Workspaces are tricky things a pro and a con is that Eclipse stores everything in them, this makes backups/portability easy, but it also means if your workspace plugin cache gets wonky, then Eclipse starts acting up.

You can pull your settings and projects in fairly easily from the old workspace using File > Import, sorry for the trouble.
