I took another look at the road map and it says the 5.0 M1 beta is to be released mid April. It’s already passed mid april now and it doesn’t seem to be available yet.
Can you guys give us an update of the M1 release date or maybe update the Road Map? It seems to me that if the M1 release gets delayed even more (remember, originally it was mid March) an end of June final release may not be feasible anymore?
Btw, has the JSP editor already been fixed in the M1 release, or will that be postponed to a next milestone release?
My guess would be the end of this month, but that is only my guess. While we do shoot to make release dates we also have to balance delivering all the promised features targetted for a release. So M1 still has some work that needs to get done to get out the door. Note that some of the big ticket items like the new project stuff and deployment won’t be in M1, it will go into M2. So M1 won’t be a feature complete release.
ALso as far as the JSP editor being fixed, it’s a refresh ontop of WTP 1.5 for 5.0’s initial release with a slew of regressions fixed by us. So if WTP doesn’t approximately work for you right now then ME 5.0 likely won’t, although we will be shipping more bug fixes for more annoying bugs.
