I have just purchased a 64-bit AMD laptop and want to go 64 bit linux/ eclipse/ JDK etc. Is there a 64-bit version of MyEclipse? If not, will there be any problem running the 32-bit Myeclipse against the 64-bit Eclipse?

Actually… I was just reading some release notes in SuSE Linux on this exact subject. Apparently in Linux you need to run Eclipse with the 32-bit version of the JDK (probably because the SWT hasn’t been ported to 64bit yet). Also you’ll probably have to run Java 5 as well.

    Hope this is helpful.
