I’m currently on 6.0.1 and just downloaded and installed the all-in-one 7.1 to see whether I should renew my subscription.
It was a disaster. Wasted a whole afternoon trying to get it to do stuff that worked smoothly in 6.0.1.
First, it lost some of the configuration information from 6.01., such as problem filtering. No biggie… just alot of time screwing around with the configuration.
Second, it insists on opening a connection to repo2.maven.org to update some repository. What’s going on here? There does not appear to be a way to disable maven short of mucking directly with the configuration files.
Third, I can’t get an any tasks to output to the console. Yes, I tried fiddling the run external program stuff. This is a deal-breaker.
I am uninstalling 7.1 and will not renew my subscription. The new features are “nice”, but basic functionality, stuff I depend on every day, is broken. Has myeclipse jumped the shark?
