When opening a project using 8.0, the IDE crashes if the project was not created using 8.0.
This was also a problem in 7.5.stacey11,
Can you give some more information?
1. Can you copy paste your installation details from MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details?
2. What was the version of MyEclipse used when the project was created?
3. Are there any errors logged in log file located at workspace dir > .metadata > .log?
4. What is the type of project that you are working on and what are the technologies used?
5. Can you switch to a new workspace and check if the issue persists? Also can you try using the -clean mentioned in the following link
