I just coded up a spring 2 additional custom namespace. Now I want the IDE to know about it when validating bean config files. I added my namespace to the schemaLocations, but that doesn’t seem to be enough. How do I get the plugin to know?

Can you give me an example of what you mean by custom namespaces? Do you mean additional spring-bean configuration files?

    Hi,

if you are using Spring IDE 2.0 you can add support for your custom namespace by following the instructions at http://springide.org/blog/2007/04/05/adding-support-for-custom-namespaces/.

We are working on providing an easier way to add support for custom namespaces, without the need to implement a eclipse plugin. But this is something not ready yet.

    Christian,
Thank you for the heads up.

bmargulies, as to your original post MyEclipse doesn’t support custom namespaces at this time.
