    I am using OS X version 10.6.2

I uninstalled all versions of Eclipse and MyEclipse, and I deleted all /Library/Genuitec folders. Whether I install version 7.1 or 7.5 I always get the same error. It comes up in a window titled “Multiple problems have occurred”.

Version 8 will not install at all. I cannot do any updates or install any plugins because of this issue.

Never have I felt so helpless with a piece of software until working with MyEclipse. Not sure what to do at this point.

    brianchi73,

Sorry to hear you are running into this issue. Can you please do the following –
    1. Run the uninstaller.
    2. Make sure the MyEclipse Install Directory has been completely removed
    \Pulse or \Genuitec or <USER.HOME>\AppData\Local and then under \Pulse or \Genuitec again
    3. Then make sure the pulse2.locator file under <USER.HOME> is erased as well
    4. Open pulse. If you don’t have pulse, download the same from http://www.poweredbypulse.com
    5. Login to pulse. If you don’t have pulse login, you can also login anonymously.
    6. This will redirect you to the pulse-explorer. Choose “Eclipse – Galileo” from the top left hand corner dropdown.
    7. Click Ready to use Profiles > Popular
    8. Right hand pane will list you all the popular profiles. Click on MyEclipse 8.0 and run or click on the green button.
    9. This will open an installation wizard which will guide you through the rest of the steps.
Let me know how this works for you.
    Best.

    brianchi73,
Could you give me the failure information that is recorded in your log file. You said the installer doesn’t run at all… I would like you to make sure your erasing any .pulse2.locator files in your home directory before re-running it

Actually you can close this one in lieu of the other ticket I have open (myeclipse-8-stable-installer.app fails). I was just trying to get one of the versions to work, but it looks like the problems are similar in nature, so I’ll keep pursuing this with version 8. Thanks!
