I’m new to Eclipse, I’m new to Java, and I don’t know what I’m doing. I can’t run my class projects because I get the message about Ant build. I have no idea what that is, how it came about, and I can’t ask my classroom instructor because he recommended using JCreator. He does not use myEclipse and does not recommend it. I have no idea how to get this back to default settings.

    RosemaryRoss,

Can you answer below queries for me to get to the root cause?
    1. Can you copy and paste your installation details? Open MyEclipse IDE, from menu options click on MyEclipse > Installation Summary > Installation Details.
    2. How did you install ME? Meaning all-in-one installer / pulse / archived update site on top of eclipse classic.
    3. If you are new to MyEclipse, I would recommend you go through our tutorials here – http://www.myeclipseide.com/module-htmlpages-display-pid-7.html
    4. Can you give me a little more detail as to what you are doing that results in the ant issue? What is the type of application and project you are working on? Have you deployed the same to any app server? Are you able to run it?
    5. Can you open myeclipse IDE and from menu options click on Window > Show / View > Problems. This will open problems tab. Please check if there are any issues reported here. If yes, copy and paste the same here. Also try to right click on each issue and see if you can click on Quick-fix.
    6. Can you copy and paste your .log file here, it is located at [your workspace dir]/.metadata/.log
